Ask a model something it can answer with a number.

Jev is a model made by TypeSafe AI. It answers typed questions about a situation and returns calibrated probabilities: not prose that sounds confident, but a distribution you can threshold. Write a situation, add conditions, and watch what comes back.

Jev is not a chat model, and it will not write you a paragraph.

You give it a situation in plain words, plus the questions you want answered. It gives back a number for each one: how likely a yes is, how a set of choices splits, or where a rating lands.

A number is useful because you can act on it. You can decide to send anything below 0.7 to a person, and move that line later when you learn more. A paragraph that sounds confident gives you nothing to move.

noul on the Yes / no button is Jev's own name for a true or false answer. It is what the API returns.

Whether a number can be trusted is a different question, and it is the one worth asking. The article explains it.

03 The readout

Describe a situation, add a condition or two, then run it.

Every answer comes back with its probability. A yes/no returns how likely the yes is, a pick-one returns the whole distribution, and a rating returns a weighted position on your scale.

A number is only worth having if the model is calibrated
